Blue shark trip off Rhode Island. My first time seeing Blue sharks in the open ocean...absolutely beautiful animals, I'm totally overwhelmed and in absolute awe. Their iridescent deep blue indigo colouring is incredible. I had an 8-foot one pretty much slam right into me to end the day! FINS UP!

August 6th, 2011:
Sun City Swim 4k: 59:20 - 2nd overall. Huge thanks to my support kayaker Rachel! For the Sharks! The race also marks 159km into the Great Barrier Reef Distance Challenge!

Great Barrier Reef Distance Challenge! As a fun challenge in partnership with Daryl Farmer of Running 4 Reefs I will be adding all my training & race distances to span the length of the Great Barrier Reef - 2300km! 2.3 million meters! Daryl is adding his ultra-marathon race distances to reach this goal - so he will be racing the entire distance! The Great Barrier Reef is the largest group of coral islands and atolls in the world, it is a protected marine park, and has more sharks than anywhere else on our planet!

Feeling awesome on a raw vegan diet ; crazy high energy, fast recovery, sleeping like a rock, and my entire system just feels better than ever. This is definitely the most powerful change I have implemented into my training - without a doubt how the human body is supposed to get its nutrition and fuel; raw, unprocessed, enzyme rich, nutrient dense, plant-based foods. Give it a shot, for your health, the animals, and the planet. Evolve, make the connection: Raw Vegan 4 Life!

Bright's Grove 3k Ontario Open Water Championships! I placed 2nd in my age group and 3rd Overall. For the Sharks! FINS UP!

Feb. 20th, 2010:
14.5k ocean swim from Whitsunday Island to Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef in a campaign to help protect sharks and raise awareness about the importance of these animals in our oceans. This was the first time anyone has done the crossing between these two islands. For the record we did not see any sharks on the swim....
